PMB’s Likely AGF Has Controversial Suspects

James Ocholi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, is reportedly being chosen by President Muhammadu Buhari for nomination as Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

Sahara Reporters says the controversial suspects of the likely AGF include an Indian blamed for defrauding several Nigerian banks of billions of naira, an ex-managing director of Finbank, Okey Nwosu, who is accused of questionable financial dealings, and a university professor from Kogi state now facing trial over his supposed links with the deadly Boko Haram sect.According to the presidential source President Buhari was receiving “very bad advice” from some of the friends he trusts most when it comes to nominations.“If he chooses Ocholi as the AGF, then his action would be at variance with what he has always said he stands for. He has said he has zero tolerance for corruption and that he is fully committed to the war against terrorism in Nigeria. The appointment of Ocholi as Minister of Justice and AGF would rubbish those claims,” the source said.
